John Crome

John Crome was a prominent member of Englad's Norwich School of art in the early 19th century, and an accomplished printmaker. He produced primarily soft-ground etchings of highly intricate and detailed landscapes such as this print, inspired by the locality where he lived near Norwich, northeast of London.
