This pitcher is one of a pair with molded bodies with applied handles. Their spearhead borders in iron-red and gilt are commonly found on export ware. The sprays of flowers on the foot are European in style. The reserve panel is painted in a famille verte palette, with a scene of Chinese figures in a garden.
