Tiffany Studios
American, born established 1902
This wine glass was free blown, and consists of several layers of heat-sensitive glass ranging from clear to white and blue. These layers were melded together to create this soft blue pastel. Opalescent pieces are simple shapes with subtle gradations of color central to the design. The color transition from a clear base to a white body and then ending in a blue rim is common of opalescent pieces created in the later periods of Tiffany Studios.
