Worcester Porcelain Factory
English, born established 1751
Several forms of leaf-shaped dishes were made at Worcester, either in single or double, overlapping style, and decorated in every style according to period. This well-balanced, all-over pattern is usually called the ‘Chinese Magician,’ and was probably a direct copy from a Chinese piece. Note the typical anglicization of the woman and man. [Stanley W. Fisher, Worcester Porcelain, Plate 24]
