Will Henry Stevens often worked with pastel chalks that he made himself. He studied the practice of chemistry as a child under his father who was a pharmaceutical chemist. Stevens then applied those techniques to grind and mix his own materials. This allowed him to craft media specifically for his needs. His formulated pastel chalks that are extremely rich in color, and most uniquely, nearly unsmudgeable.
