(Tuscaloosa, Alabama, 1963 - )

Davis earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alabama in 1986 with a major in Advertising and a minor in Photography. She also studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, and took a Semester at Sea with the University of Pittsburgh on the S.S. Universe Floating World Voyage. As Chief Photographer for the James Beard Foundation in New York City from 1987 to 1990, she photographed many celebrities, such as Martha Stewart and Julia Child.

From 1990 to 2012 she operated Caroline Davis Photography, in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa. In 2012 she moved to Panama City, Florida. Her commercial work has appeared in magazines such as "Southern Living "and "Audubon", and she has photographed on location in Nepal, Tibet, the Bahamas, Europe, and Africa. In 1997 and in 2000 she received an Individual Artist Fellowship Grant from the Alabama State Council on the Arts; she has also won photography contests such as the 1990 Underwater World Nikon Shoot-Out sponsored by Nikon, Inc. Her work has been exhibited in New York City and in cities throughout Alabama.(1)
